USB teddy bear, scares children!

Ming send me this url last night, and check this out!

It is thumb drive in a teddy bear.

I am so torn between humor and humanity; it looks kinda
'cute' having a teddy bear sticking it's head into the CPU.

Day 3 : Chatuchak Weekend Market, Bangkok

We woke up around 10am. Ethan decided that we should all go to the famous "Chatuchak Weekend Market".

Photo taken by Ethan

After a good breakfast, we are on our way to the famous "Chatuchak Weekend Market"

It is about 5-10 mins walk from our hotel to the nearest MRT station : PETCHABURI then to MO CHIT Station where it will stop in front of Chatuchak Weekend Market.

And it all cost THB 40 per single journey.

Chatuchak Weekend Market

To my suprise, this 'market' is HUGE! You can find everything and anything shopping. And of course, the PRICE is GREAT. This is will be the ultimate place for anyone who is going thru "Retail Therapy" or should I say, Shopaholics should keep away!

Rows of this 'little shops' and it seem endless.

.
..and when you shop here, time is non-existence until your stomach starts growling...FOOD!

Took us about a good 10 mins to decide which stalls we should eat at. Of course, our choice was right.

while waiting for our food to be serve...

and food is serve...
Yum Yum Yum~!

Clockwise: Papaya Salad, Fried minced pork, Thai Sausages and Ice Coconut Juice

Lunch costs :
THB 200
(estimate RM 20) including drinks and steamed rice

After lunch, we continue shopping for another an hour or so to return to hotel. It was such a great morning shopping at Chatuchak Market.

Day 2 : Bangkok, Thailand ... After the Sunsets...

I had a good rest. Both me and Eth went for a good Thai Massage around the corner of our hotel. Nothing hanky panky, the real good Thai Massage. Ad decided to take a short beauty nap.

After sunset activity begins...and this is all I can remember...

The plan was:
1. Dinner at LemonGrass (opposite Novotel Bangkok)
2. Hang out for a drink at Silom area
3. Go Go Show at Dream Boys (Silom Soi 2)

However, the night did not start well. As we were waiting for a taxi at the lobby, the rain decided to fall ... sigh~

1. Dinner at LemonGrass. Good food, reasonable price...yada yada..

2. Hang out around Silom Area...I had a haagen daz.

3. Go Go show at Silom Soi 2 - Dream Boys

We were all anticipating the slizzy yet long waiting n*dity show. First show was at Dream Boys. Good, entertaining. Worth my RM 20. But no nudity. Fine!

As we came out from Dream Boys, we were ambushed by a group of wolves/pimps whispering to our ears..."F**k Show, Sir?" OMG!! How 'unforgettable' it was...

With much anticipation of watching a nudity performance (don't mean to be a pervert here), we walked in to the 2nd show and by far, that will be the worst show!!!!

So bad that I actually felt asleep (despite the tiredness of waking up early). Quote Ethan :"Lam *** show"

It was about 3am, we decided to catch a taxi and called it a day!

Day 2 : Bangkok, Thailand

So we landed.
So we took some time to figure out the baggage claims area.
So we took a while to get into taxi.
So we paid THB 600 for taxi fare.
So we were on the "SuperHighway" in Bangkok.
So we arrived at the Bangkok Boutique Hotel, 241 Sukhumvit Soi 21 (Soi Asoke)
So we checked- in.
So we brushed up and changed to much comfortable clothing.
So we took SkyTrain to SiAm Square.
So the trip is now officially begun.

We are SO excited.

My friend, Ethan, who has been coming to Bangkok quite often the last few months, he is now our guide for Bangkok.

Here is me, a photo taken by Ethan, reading the SkyTrain map.

First thing first, FOOD. (Malaysian no.1 hobby) Ethan brought us to a food court at MBK (Mah Boo Khong Center). Check out the food I ordered.

PORK KNUCKLE RICE

This is the ONE dish I miss about Bangkok, not the fancy malls, not the cheap fancy clothing but JUST this.

It is basically stew pork knuckle with Soy Sauce with salted vegetable as side dish.

10 thumbs up~!

STICKY RICE WITH MANGO

This is another famous Thai cuisine that many sure can recognise.

10 thumbs up~!

After lunch, Ethan brought us to this "Gourmet Supermarket" at Siam Paragon.

This is a very special supermarket. The way the variety of grocery was displayed in the supermarket - orgasmically cool and I forgotten to snap any photos!

There are many "cool-well-decorated" cafe in Siam Paragon and we couldn't resist for a tea break in one of these cafe.

Ethan and Adrian choosing their pastry for tea break. Pretty hard to make a decision, all the different type pastry....yum yum yum!

The deco around the cafe is kinda cool. There is even a "lake" that we sit by for tea.

Here is me and Ethan, photo taken by Ad.

As I called it...melting scones... 8 thumbs up!!

We decided to go back to hotel the rest of the afternoon as we all woke up really early to catch flight and for a good rest and get ready to explore...Bangkok after the sunset **wink**

Day 2 : Kuala Lumpur to Bangkok, Thailand

...journey begins...

The taxi driver arrives at our doorstep about 630am. I was pretty sure he was speeding!

It is a good day, as the cloud said.

Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you...

Boarding ... walking to the airplane, can save cost this way, perhaps?

Here is a COOL photo, taken by Ethan

Ignore the flight attendant, this airplane is really new, 3 months old as the captain announced later in the flight.

At about 25mins after the flight took off from LCCT, with the weather 75% clear, we flew by Pulau Pinang. As you can also see, the Penang Bridge on the middle left side of the photo.

As we just about to land, the flight attendant came around to give out this form.

Arrival Card

No visa needed for Malaysian who are there for leisure as you are allow to stay in the country for 30 days from date of arrival.

This form has to part, Arrival Card and Departure Card, we have to fill in both side. Also, Thailand custom requires THB 500 airport tax paid upon departure from Bangkok International Airport.

With all the excitement we had, our flight got delayed by 20mins due to the air traffic at Bangkok International Airport for the arrival "some VIP" for the King's Birthday.

Local time: 0840hrs (GMT+7)

Day 1 : Kuching to Kuala Lumpur (Transit)

9th June, 2006

The whole day today, I had this song hymming in my head...

all my bags are packed i'm ready to go ... ... cause I'm leaving on a jet plane don't know when I'll be back again ...

PTC ! PTC! (Passport Ticket Cash)

I totally can hear it in my head as everytime Ming would shout as a reminder not to forget any of those.

Departed Kuching International Airport about 1420hrs, and arrived in KLIA about 1600hrs (1 hr 40mins flight time). I am meeting up my friends (Ethan and Adrian) who will be travelling with me for the next 9 days.
